Think about how smart prefabricated homes are. Pulling the big pieces together off-site allows for a controlled environment during the build and with many of the manufacturers using sustainable material, prefab is the choice for many eco-conscious homeowners. In many cases it can also be an affordable way to put a structure on a lonely piece of land. Before you get too excited though, note that the homes I am showing here are pricing out in the $300+/sf range…if you can afford it, well worth it (in my opinion-not that you were asking).
